These are my links for February 1st through February 6th:

  • Survey reveals most engaging and annoying Tweets – Questions, funny, engaging and new content are (not surprisingly) the best content for Twitter. Avoid too many hashtags or references (# and @) to avoid unfollows.
  • Made.com: a case study of customer service hell? – Interesting critique on non-responsive social media services and online/offline contact with customers from Made.com, and a response from their CEO. A UK dotcom boomingis a nice problem to have. How can your business match increasing sales online with increasing online support?
  • 13 Shortcuts to a Digital Content Strategy – e-Book that warns us initially 'you're late to the party' (I wouldn't necessarily agree, most companies are producing content, but they may not yet be defining it as a content strategy); some useful initial tips and ideas, with links to effective content production and distribution tools.
  • Many Eyes – An experimental IBM project giving free access to create and share data visualisations. The tools are more sophisticated than a typical Word product, and what's best about Many Eyes is the tools are easy to use and free.
  • The New Campaign Management Mandate – Forrester report on approach to campaign management, specifically in digital. Useful segmentation of behaviour types – are you using digital as an 'enforcer' or 'pioneer'?
